During the weekend of Friday 8 to Monday 11 June a wall at Pitmedden Primary School was damaged and enquiry is currently being carried out into the incident. A vandalism at the same location was recently detected but is not thought to be connected to the current investigation.

During the early hours of Sunday 10 June, officers were called to a road traffic collision on Golf Road, Ellon. Following their attendance the 22 year old male driver was arrested after failing a roadside breath test. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal on the circumstances and the driver has been charged with driving while over the legal limit of alcohol in his breath.

Several more excessive speeds were recorded this week on the main road south of Ellon, including one case where a young driver aged 18 was detected driving at 93 miles per hour.
