An Ellon fundraising event has made in excess of £500 for charity.
Last Saturday evening, the Ythan Fiddlers took to the stage by playing their own ceilidh at the town’s Station Hotel in aid of the Gordon Friends of CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland).
The evening welcomed a good crowd who enjoyed the traditional music on offer.
The charity are very grateful to the Ythan Fiddlers for entertaining the very appreciative audience.
CHAS provides the only hospice services in Scotland for children and young people with life-shortening conditions for which there is no known cure. CHAS has two children’s hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch, and a home care service called CHAS at Home.
The money raised from the event will go towards helping support the running of both hospices and in helping the CHAS at Home services based in Aberdeen and in Inverness.
The next fundraiser coming up on the Gordon Friends of CHAS calendar is a quiz night which takes place at Ellon’s McDonald Golf club on Saturday, November 23.
Booking for tables of four for the event are available at the Golf Club for £16 a table.
Hosting the quiz will be Mick and Hilary Gordon who are known for their wide range of interesting questions.
