ABERDEEN fans in Ellon are being given the chance to meet some of the club’s most talented players, as representatives of the club come to the town.

Ross Ingram, of the Ellon Reds Supporters Club, told the Times that he had managed to arrange the meeting in recognition of the fact that he runs a club bus to matches at Pittodrie, as well as running a dedicated supporters’ club.

The visitors coming to Ellon will include the First Team Manager Craig Brown, Head of Youth Academy Colin Grant, two of the club’s Directors (one of whom will be Chris Gavin) and also at least one player, who has yet to be named.

Ross told the Times that it was a great opportunity for fans to meet representatives of their club, ask questions, and find out more about Aberdeen.

“There will be a Question and Answers session with all members and any public who have an interest in Aberdeen Football Club,” he told the Times. “It is a free event and open to all members of the public, so we are hoping for a healthy crowd.

“We are also carrying out a small raffle as AFC have donated signed club merchandise and Craig Brown and the player will draw the winning numbers.”

“The questions can be on any topic people want to speak about - club selections, the new stadium , or how the way the club is run. Craig Brown is a straight talking kind of guy, very honest, so it should be a very interesting evening.”

The event, which is being held at the Station Hotel on Monday, January 23, is open to anyone with an enthusiasm for Aberdeen FC. The question and answer session begins at 8pm.
