Duncan records personal best

Ythan Cycling Club’s Andy Duncan recorded a personal best time of 4 hrs 30 mins 14 secs at the Furneaux 100 mile time trial on Sunday.

During the previous week Duncan had taken on the role of race promoter when Ythan hosted the Old Skool TT at Ythanbank. Riders were only allowed to use standard bicycles with no aerodynamic aids permitted in what has become a popular event on the local race scene.

Once again it was Simon Van Bellen from Aberdeen Wheelers who produced another stunning performance to beat the Granite City RT pair of Robertson and Raikkonen. Josh Williams was the fastest Ythan rider on the night with Ellon youngster Lewis Goodlad taking the prize for first youth.
