Locos co-manager Scott Buchan was desperate for a win on Saturday and said after the match, “I think we’re limping over the line just now.

“It’s been a really tough schedule with a constant two game a week schedule on hard pitches and even in this fixture the pitch dried up quickly after the heavy rain.

“We were one up at the break and should have been out of sight. Our second half showing was poor, we looked a tired side. The players have been brilliant for us all season and it’s unfortunate we’ve not gained a home league win in these games against Cove and Forres.”

This Saturday sees a very successful season conclude, with a second place finish confirmed and a series of Cup Final appearances for Inverurie Locos.

The opponents for final game could not be tougher. It’s champions Brora Rangers at Dudgeon Park, first v second, kick off is at 3pm.
