A bitterly disappointed co-manager Scott Buchan said after the game, “We had a game plan at the start, I thought we could cause Brora problems, but we never gave ourselves the opportunity.
“Fair play to Brora, they were ruthless but we contributed to our own downfall on a few occasions.
“Slow to react, weak in the tackle, weak in the air, generally weak defensively, they took full advantage. The second one was a great strike, but for the others, we were too far apart from each other. Things we’ve been preaching to them, they didn’t do. By the time we caused them problems it was too late.
“It was unfortunate not to have so many key players available that we wanted but it’s a squad game. The squad that went out were capable of causing problems. But the League is a marathon not a sprint. It looks like Brora can run away with it. I’d like to think there are teams who can give them a harder game. And that we can get back to a fully fit squad and challenge. I’m not saying we can win the League.
“I don’t think Brora will have many easier games. I felt sorry for our two attackers. The two of them did cause problems but we didn’t give them the opportunity because of what we did defensively.”
