Colony Park Juniors bounced back from defeat at the hands of Buckie Rovers at the weekend with a 3-0 home win against Lewis United in the Grill League Cup on Tuesday night (August 11).
The first half was an even affair until the final minute when Ross CROSBIE headed in from close range giving Colony Park the lead at the interval.
Colony continued to push forward in the second half and they added to their lead in 53 minutes when Calvin RODDIE picked up the ball twenty five yards from goal and hit a tremendous shot into the top left hand corner of the net.
On 66 minutes Colony were reduced to ten men when Jack Strachan was shown a red card.
The home team then fought hard, to keep a clean sheet with Johnny Farquhar making some brilliant saves, and United spurning several chances before Colony added a third in 83 minutes when an excellent through ball from Roddie found Greg DORRATT and he went past three men before placing the ball into the Lewis United net past the onrushing keeper from 12 yards.
Thereafter Colony controlled the match despite being a man down with some excellent passing and possession.
On Saturday, August 15, Colony Park are away to Newmachar United in the McBookie Division One East and on Tuesday, August 1, also in the League they are at home to Sunnybank.
