Colony Park Round-up

With school holidays starting a few teams had no scheduled fixtures last weekend.

Colony Colts 19s were up against Westdyke at home and despite a spirited performance they were unable to finish off their chances and eventually went down by four goals to nil at Davidson Park.

Colony Park 17s welcomed League Champions Deveronvale to the GSC

Despite going a goal down in a shaky start, Colony recovered and against the run of play found an equaliser when Kyle GORDON dispatched a shot low and hard into the corner of the net. Deveronvale missed a penalty before a Paul GEE shot from outside the box slipped under keeper

Vale equalise before half-time, but Colony took the lead after the break through Sam FORSYTH. Colony added a fourth late on and the two sides meet again this weekend at Portsoy for Colony’s last match of the season

East End came to face Colony Colts 17s with 12 wins from 12 games already champions with four games to play. Colts found themselves well beaten , going down by 7-1 with Kyle BROWN scoring the consolation goal for the Colts.

Sunday saw only one game with the U14 Colts in action at Newmachar where the league leaders proved too strong running out 4-1 winners despite a great performance from the Colts who play their last game of the season against Formartine in Inverurie on Sunday
