Captain Craig McKeown grabbed a second half hat-trick.

Formartine United overcame a nervy first half to ease to a comfortable 6-1 win at Banchory St Ternan on Saturday, writes Colin Keenan.

The Superleague side were a goal up at the interval, but United quickly drew level and a hat-trick from captain Craig McKeown had the Pitmedden men coasting by the finish. The other goals came from Dingwall, Keith and McVitie.

The second half goals more than offset some hesitancy in the opening forty five minutes.

The new signings look the part and trialist Newman playing up front in a bustling style reminiscent of former North Lodge and Harlaw favourite “Kaiser” MacKay also showed some real potential.
