Ellon United are looking to build on their recent convincing win over Bridge of Don when they make the trip to face basement club FC Stoneywood on Saturday.

United had an enforced weekend off due to Stonehaven’s rescheduled Scottish Cup tie.

Ellon’s last game of the year before their lengthy festive break sees them visit the Aberdeen club’s new ground, Clark Commercial Park at Market Street, this weekend.

Co-manager Chris Allsop is looking for his side to show the same attitude as they did in the recent 6-2 hammering of Bridge of Don Thistle if they are to avoid losing any ground to the teams around them.

The match kicks off at 1.30pm.

Meanwhile, Stonehaven advanced to the Scottish Cup fourth round with a 3-1 home win over St Anthony’s on Saturday.

In the Superleague, Dyce Juniors kept on the tails of the leaders with a 2-1 home victory over rivals Culter.

Maud recorded a 4-2 win at Banchory St Ternan while Banks o’ Dee put four past FC Stoneywood without reply at Spain Park.

Hall Russell United 
and Deveronside fought out 
a goalless draw in Aberdeen and Hermes recorded a 2-1 victory over visitors Inverness City.
