Last-gasp win for Bay boys

Cruden Bay were away at Colony Park on Saturday in a PMAC Division One (East) game.

The game was pretty even in the first quarter before the home side began to have more of the game.

Bay were finding it difficult to get their game going and following their failure to clear the ball after several attempts it allowed Crosbie to put in a shot after half andhour which was deflected into the corner of Robertson’s goal.

The second half proved to be a different proposition, however, and the Bay came out fighting.

Within a couple of minutes of the second half, they were level. Tait made a good run down the left beating a couple of players and put in cross which went to Gibb, who hammered the ball into the home net.

The Bay continued to press throughout the half and were rewarded in the dying minutes whenTait latched on the ball and stroked the ball past Sim in the home goal to give the Bay a well-earned victory which their second half performance deserved.

They are at home this Saturday to Newmachar United in the MTM Morrison Trophy ko 2pm.
