At the recent Inverurie Loco Works Spring Ball Club Captain Neil McLean was awarded Players Player of the Year and Committee Player of the Year, while striker Neil Gauld’s remarkable goal scoring, notching 42 for the season, was recognised with Top Goalscorer Award.

Spring Ball Organiser and Committee Member, Graeme Hay highlighted some of the facts and figures from a very impressive season that saw the Harlaw Park side finish runners-up in the league and win the Aberdeenshire Shield: most points in one season; most goals scored in one season; most wins in one season; fewest defeats in one season; and best undefeated run in one season, adding “Our points total this season would have been good enough to win six of that last 12 previous league campaigns,” adding: “It gives us tremendous satisfaction to field a team mixed with experience and also players who have come through local schools football and the Colony Park youth system.”
