INVERURIE Locos face a wait to find out who they will play in the final of the Morrison Motors (Turriff) Aberdeenshire Shield.

Locos reached the final following a hard fought 2-1 victory over Huntly last Wednesday night (February 19), while Cove Rangers came out on top in the other semi-final against Turriff United.

But it appears that both Cove and Turriff may have fielded ineligible players, so Locos face a wait to find out who they will face.

David ROSS opened the scoring for Locos on 27 minutes, before David BOOTH levelled for Huntly in the second half. In extra time Huntly were reduced to 10 men following a straight red card for Booth, and DONALDSON netted to make it 2-1 Locos. Huntly’s Madle was also red carded just before the end.
