Ellon United’s pre-season progressed last week with two very successful friendlies against Cruden Bay and Sunnybank with United still to concede a goal after these two opening matches.

With United losing Jack Sim soon as he heads to America on a scholarship, United have added new faces with Fraser Gill, Jack Goodwin and Callum Irvine signing up and Jack Tait moving to United on a transfer from Buchanhaven Hearts.

United have also secured keeper Morgan Cook back on a temporary transfer from Inverurie Loco Works and defender Ross Gibbon on a temporary transfer from Formartine United.

The management team has also been strengthened by the addition of Mark Green.

United’s team awards for last season will be presented at a Promotion Party to be held in the New Inn Hotel on Saturday, August 12.

The party is in the form of an open dance to the music of Country Edition with entry by ticket only, priced at £5 each.

Tickets are available from the New Inn Bar or by contacting any of the players/management or email either davidneville@hotmail.co.uk or traceygammack@aol.com.
