Wilson satisfied with Locos progress

He’s been away from Harlaw Park since departing for Formartine United then Colony Park but the home crowd were delighted to welcome back former skipper Tommy Wilson who took up his role in the home dugout as part of the management team for the first time.

After the match the former midfield dynamo expressed satisfaction at what he’d seen.

“The boys did well in the second half, the first half proved difficult, we didn’t keep the ball as well as we had wanted. In the second we did, playing good stuff and there were a lot of good performances.

“The squad is strong. “Coco”(Colin Charlesworth) did well, it’s never easy when you come to a new club, he has plenty pace about him and is a decent player. He will get more confident. Kieran in goals did what he had to do, he was brilliant as he’s not played a lot of football. Ryan Robertson kept the ball well, it was his first game too, he is big and strong coming forward

“We have John Maitland and Martin Bavidge among others to come back, two very experienced players. But David Ross did well up front on his own, he worked his socks off. When Bav is back it will be an added bonus.”
