Anglers out in force at Lochter

Despite the unseasonably cold conditions anglers have been turning out in numbers at Lochter FisheryAngl

While the weather has been disappointing, the fishing has been excellent.

Steve Prince got the week off to a good start on Monday with 10 on Buzzers but was pipped by Alan Logan who had a lovely 6lb fish in has bag of 12 all caught on Nymphs.

There was plenty of surface action as the week went on and Robert Hassan had a great day catching and releasing 22 on dries and Buzzers.

Black Spiders worked for R Taylor who landed 13. Also doing well with surface flies were G Crouch with 14, Ross Donald with 12 Carl Atkinson with sixteen, George Abel with 12 and Stu Crockett with 13 on dries.

In fairness lures did have their successes as well, and Doug Mair caught and released 30 on a selection orange and black lures, and Ian Brown up from Livingston had 13 mainly on Cats Whiskers.

All in all the fishing has been very good.
