Barratt Homes teamed up with Garioch Rugby Football Club to assist in celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Inverurie sides clubhouse.

Aware that the 600-member strong club is an integral part of the community, serving Inverurie, Oldmeldrum, Kemnay, Kintore and Kinnelar, the housebuilder recently pledged to makeover the Garioch RFC clubhouse at Inverurie’s Kellands Park.

This included the donation of various decorating items, including paint and brushes. Shower room items such as shower curtains and toilet seats were also donated.

With Barratt Homes’ Osprey Heights development in full swing at Old Meldrum Road, the team there are keen to engage positively with the community where ever possible. Mike Cowie, Sales Director for Barratt Homes North Scotland, commented, “Enhancing the clubhouse has been important to the club for some time now and so we were delighted to be able to step in and help as it nears this important milestone.

“At Barratt Homes we take real pride in being an active partner in the local communities where we operate, having also recently teamed up with Inverurie Scout Group. Barratt Homes has a long and proud history in Inverurie and we are delighted to be able to provide some practical support to the Garioch RFC.

“They are doing a fantastic job of promoting the sport to varying ages and abilities and we have thoroughly enjoyed helping them achieve this goal.”

Laird Parker, President at Garioch RFC, has been involved with playing and coaching at the club for the last 14 years. He added: “We are delighted to receive the support of Barratt Homes as we look to continually improve the facilities for the good of our members.”
