Changeable conditions at Loch Insch

CONDITIONS have been very changeable at Loch Insch Fishery this week. Cool and breezy days, followed by bright sunny periods have made the choice of flies a bit more difficult for anglers.

Mr Clark from Buckie, stuck to his trusted WSW to release 11, while K. Anderson from Buckie kept a nice 5lb rainbow from his bag of nine, which were all taken on Buzzers.

Stuart Linton from Bucksburn netted nine, keeping 2 for 5 1/2lbs using an orange Nomad and a Sunburst Damsel and John Junor from Cruden Bay released six after keeping two for 6 1/2lbs whilst fishing a Bunny Leech and yellow Fritz.

D. Mackie from Insch netted and released five on a WSW, Robert McPherson from Dufftown, returned three, all taken on a Cats Whisker, Ian Ogston kept two taken on his own pattern, the “Oggy Blob” and D. Neilson from Killin, released two, after falling to a Pheasant Tail Nymph.
