Only three fixtures featuring Colony Park survived over the weekend.

Colony Park U16s were away to champions Fraserburgh who were the better team in first half and led at the interval 3-1, with Finlay WATSON scoring for Colony. The second half was more even with a much improved performance from Colony but despite goals from Morgan COOK and Thomas RIACH the league favourites ran out 6-3 winners.

Colony Park U14s faced Culter Boys in the second Round match in the Eddie Mannal trophy at the fourth attempt and after it was switched to the Garioch Sports Centre 3G pitch.

There were not many chances made in this first period but Culter were coming more and more into the game and their striker stretched to reach a cross at the back post, only to see his volley go wide. After 21 minutes Culter had a free kick about 25 yards out but the resulting fierce shot went wide of the Colony goal. Culter finished the half the better team but Daniel Strachan had a shot from outside the box for the home side just before half time which went wide of the Culter keepers left hand post.

Into the second half Culter took the lead three minutes into the half when a wayward pass in the Colony defence allowed the Culter striker to gather the ball and slide it past McWatt in the home goal.

The goal shook the home team into life and Strachan found himself through on goal but his strike was well saved by the visiting goalkeeper. The visiting defence were keeping Colony at bay well and Murray Grant had a chance with a volley but it went past the post. It took a spectacular effort to level the scores, with just 12 minutes remaining. The ball fell to MCNALLY in space in midfield and he unleashed a fierce 25yd strike which the keeper did well to get a hand to, but couldn’t prevent hitting the back of the net.

With six minutes to go, a through ball saw Murray Grant beat the offside trap, and he got to it before the onrushing keeper. The Colony striker calmly passed it inside to Daniel MIDDLER who finished into the empty net. Just one minute later the favour was returned and it was Middler through one on one with the keeper, but with everyone expecting a shot, he unselfishly passed it inside to GRANT who finished into the corner of the net for 3-1

Colony Colt U13s had a league match against Greyhope Boys at Aulton.

Taylor MASSON opened the scoring for the Inverurie side direct from the corner flag and Aidan RIACH had the Colts two ahead early in the second half with a fantastic strike , The home side pulled one back the Colony boys held on for a hard earned victory.
