Inverurie Gymnastics Club held it’s first ever Club Competition at the weekend.

This was made possible by the significant growth of the club which is based at Inverurie’s Garioch Sports Centre. The Club which was set up only six years ago at the Sports Centre with one coach, ten children, some mats and a small beam, has grown to a club with around 200 children from pre- school to over 12 years and now compete successfully at local and national level.

Head Coach Holly Fromholc, who has been the driver behind the clubs success, said “We had a fantastic, but busy day last Saturday with the young recreational gymnasts performing in the morning and they were then treated to a gymnastic performance by the competitive gymnasts who then went on to participate in their own competition.

“Id like to thank all those who helped in staging the event including my fellow coaches, parents and especially a big thank you to our event sponsors: Kintore Trophy Centre, Tawse Tyres, the Fromholc family, Hughs, Macdonald & Davidson, Spoil Me Hair Salon, Schlumberger, West High Street Garage and Mitchell’s Dairy for providing refreshments.
