Last Saturday Garioch Amateur Swimming Club held their Annual Ball at Thainstone Exchange to raise funds for the club.

Guest of Honour was one of the Club’s most renowned and prolific swimmers Hannah Miley, Commonwealth Gold Medalist, who recently qualified for the World Championships in Kazan, Russia as part of Team GB and currently ranked No.1 in the world in the 400m Individual Medley.

The Ball was a resounding success with great support from local business, Supporters and It’s members.

Chairmna David Adams would like to extend a personal thank you in particular to Shona Strachan and Anne Hitchcox for all their support and help and for all those that also supported and helped pull off a
great event.

The evening was thoroughly enjoyable and was highly entertaining from the “Commonwealth Gold or Not” quiz, excellent raffle and very tense and exiting auction, accumulating in dancing the rest of the night away to the tunes of the “Last Resort”
Band.

The Club also fficially announced and launched our their new website by our sponsors Intellicore, www.gasc.co.uk, and also new kit sponsors, Inverurie Smile Care NHS Dental Practice.
