Sporadic fishing at Delgatie

The dry fly sport has been very sporadic at Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery and most fishers have resorted to the lures for at least periods during the day.

However, some anglers demonstrated their skills or rode their luck and recorded good catches, among them were: L. Davidson, Macduff (21 fish, Olive Fritz, Cormorant, Yellow Dancer); A. Murray, Gardenstown (14 fish, White Fritz); G. Littler, Newmachar (11 fish, Klink Hammer/various); A. Gibson, Gardenstown (nine fish, various lures); N. Thomson, Turriff (eight fish, buzzers); D. Brown, Ellon (seven fish, Yellow Dancer).

Notable catches were also recorded by two juniors with A. Caithness from Kirkcaldy landing 23 fish and Ms J. Jeffreys landing five fish on her first visit and first attempt at angling.
