Lycra and bodyslams were the name of the game earlier this month as pro-wrestling returned to Balmedie Leisure Centre.

The annual wrestling event featured a number of wrestlers from the local WrestleZone group, engaging in a night of family-friendly action.

In the night’s main event, Scotty Swift retaining the Undisputed Championship over challengers Kaden Garrick and Shawn Johnson, while Bryan Tucker also scooped the victory over rival Mikkey Vago.

WrestleZone host Martyn Clunes thought it was a great night of action and added: “There were some important moments at the event with every wrestler looking to make a name for themselves.

“The fans certainly had a great time and that is what it is all about.”

There were also wins at the event for Andy Wild, Johnny Lions, Blue Thunder and Jimbo Bannon during an action-packed night of wrestling action.

Fans will not need to wait too long for their next dose of sports entertainment, at WrestleZone return to Inverurie Town Hall on Saturday, October 29, for their annual Halloween Hijinx event.
