Pupils from four Meldrum network schools took part in a “Kwik Cricket” festival at the Methlick Cricket Club grounds.
The schools opted in to the cricket programme, which meant their P6 classes (P4-7 in small schools) received four weeks of training to develop their skills. Coaching was provided by Cricket Scotland.
The schools involved were Rayne North, Pitmedden, Udny Green and Methlick. The two winning teams, based on behaviour, games won and points scored, were Rayne North and Udny Green, who will travel to Banchory for the Aberdeen City and Shire tournament held at Burnett Park today.
