Weather dictates at Delgatie

ONCE again the weather has dictated the activity on the water at Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery, affecting both the anglers and the fish.

Not surprisingly, although dries and buzzers were relatively successful the best catches were obtained in lures and in many cases by using a sinking line with a relatively quick retreive.

The best catches this week were recorded to the following anglers:

R. Ewing, Macduff (23 fish, Kate MacLaren/Diawl Bach); C. McPhee, Peterhead (15 fish, Dries/Buzzers/Lures); D. Duthie, Macduff (14 fish, Olive WSW); A. Murray, Gardenstown (12 fish, Black Fritz); I. Watt, Turriff (12 fish, Dry/Buzzers/Bloodworm); N. Thomson, Turriff (11 fish, CDC/Buzzers); R. Donald, Macduff (ten fish, Dry/Buzzers); S. Fraser, Macduff (nine fish, Damsel Nymph/Buzzers); L. Davidson, Macduff (nine fish, Damsel Nymph/Oilve Buzzer).
