Winds curtail casting at Lochter

During the past week the strong winds featured regularly in the weather conditions column of the catch record at Lochter Fishery.

In spite of that, anglers did turn out and had reasonable success despite the weather.

Allan Patterson had nine on Buzzers, Len Davidson had five using Nomads, Jim Weir had a lovely fish of 8lbs in his bag of five all attracted by his Little Devil, and Bryan Ross also had an eight pounder among his catch of eight all on that good old standby, the Damsel.

M Pirie used a white and green Fritz to successfully bring five to the net and most anglers managed to pick up a few fish mainly using lures.

The fishery will be closed on December 25 and 26 and on January 1 and 2. It will be open on all other days.
