Travel cost boost for young Ythan cyclists

YTHAN Cycling Club’s youth riders received a major boost at the weekend.

They received a £400 cheque from Aberdeenshire Sports Council to help the young cyclists with some of their travelling costs to the new indoor velodrome in Glasgow.

The presentation by Keith Leslie, from Aberdeenshire Sports Council, took place on Saturday at the car park at Ellon Community Centre.

This is the training location for the Ythan CC youth riders.

Aberdeenshire Sports Council is an independent body set up in 1996 by Aberdeenshire Council, to represent sporting clubs and organisations and is regarded as one of the most progressive and active sports councils in the country.
