Change of weekend opening for Maud Railway Museum

In a change to the normal pattern, the next open days at Maud Railway Museum will be on Saturday and Sunday, August 6 and 7, instead of the following weekend.

This is to allow additional opening later in the month on dates still to be arranged to coincide with display of the Peterhead Prison railway carriage, currently on show at Beamish Museum in County Durham.

Situated on the Formartine and Buchan Way Maud museum provides a fascinating insight into the closed railway from Fraserburgh and Peterhead to Maud, Ellon and Dyce, illustrated with artefacts and photos.

The museum is open from 10.30am to 4pm on both dates; admission is free but donations and purchases from the shop are welcome.
