Concert goers attending a evening of music are being invited to buy an extra ticket which will be donated to someone affected by cancer.
Talented young musicians from St Margaret’s School for Girls, Albyn and Robert Gordon’s College will perform together for the first time at the America Meets Scotland event next month to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The concert will be held at The Music Hall on Monday, November 4, and has been organised by Shelagh Reid, a music teacher at St Margaret’s School for Girls, who made a promise to raise more than £10,000 for Macmillan after she survived stomach cancer.
“We are hoping to fill the Music Hall on the evening of the concert and we are asking as many people as possible to buy an extra ticket when they buy their own. These will be distributed to people affected by cancer through the Macmillan nurses and the staff at CLAN, giving them the chance to enjoy the concert too.”
Tickets are £10 and are available from Aberdeen Box Office, call 01224 641122
