The couple decided to help the charity because they have supported people close to them both.

Kelly told the Times: “Macmillan have helped a few people we know and they do a fantastic job.

“Also they are a charity which are involved with a lot of people and so I find that almost everyone can relate to them.”

The ceilidh, which was held at the town’s Station Hotel, saw the pair manage to raise an incredible £1111.60.

Last year the pair trekked up Kilimanjaro and raised over £10,000 for the charity.

There are no fundraisers planned for the future yet but only time will tell.

Kelly added: “It was a really good night and we have had a lot of requests for another ceilidh next year!”

Kelly and Greg wish to thank the following businesses who donated prizes to their raffle draw:

Costcutter, Jules Healing Gems, Intersport, The Ice Cream and Coffee Pot, The Chocolate Bar, Meadows Sports Centre, Beautique, Grays, Angels, Carbri Curios, Best Wishes, Shoe La La, Linen Cupboard, Elegant Bloom, Willow Cottage, Cinnamon Fringe, Cup Cakes and Crafts, Delicious, and CatWalkers.
