Two fantastic films will be shown at the Victoria Hall this Sunday (September 24).

First up is some family fun with The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature (U) at 3pm

Surly and his friends, Buddy, Andie and Precious discover that the mayor of Oakton City is cracking one big hustle to build a giant yet quite-shabby amusement park, which in turn will bulldoze their home situated in the city park.

It's up to them and the rest of the park animals to stop the mayor, along with his daughter and a mad animal control officer from getting away with his scheme, and to take back the park.

This will be followed by action flick American Made (15) at 6pm.

Tom Cruise stars as Barry Seal, a TWA pilot, who is recruited by the CIA to provide reconnaissance on the burgeoning communist threat in Central America and soon finds himself in charge of one of the biggest covert CIA operations in the history of the United States that spawned the birth of the Medellin cartel and eventually almost brought down the Reagan White House with the Iran Contra scandal.

Tickets can be purchased online for all films by visiting www.victoriahallellon.co.uk/cinema or at the door on the day.

Reservations can also be made via the Ellon Cinema Page on Facebook - this is recommended especially for large parties.

The next Ellon Cinema date after this is scheduled for Sunday, October 15 with screenings of The Jungle Bunch (U) at 3pm and Victoria and Abdul (PG) at 6pm.
