A Rhythm and Blues Night will be held as part of this month’s autumn/winter season at the Victoria Hall in Ellon.
The event which takes place on Saturday, October 25, has been organised by the management committee to raise funds for the Ellon Cinema Projector Fund.
The audience will be treated to performances from the live band - Baby Isaac.
Formed in 1991, the group hail mainly from the village of Kelty in Fife.
For Baby Isaac it was all about the feel, and the natural, energetic performances which helped them create their sound.
From 1995, they have been fronted by singer Angela Moore with great guitar component delivered with class from Derek Welsh and complemented by a another vocal and blinding blues harmonica from Gary Arnott.
The talented group have regularly performed on the blues festival and pub circuit across Great Britain from Harlow to Shetland and many other locations in between. The band have featured on live radio and TV but playing to a live audience is where they feel most at home.
Bass player Graeme said: “There is something magical about live music when the band and audience connect and get that feel good factor.”
The Blues festival favourites Baby Isaac headline with support from Kevin Jordan and Reece Hillis - a traditional delta style blues duo featuring guitar, harmonica and vocals. Formed in 2012 they released their debut album ‘Rising Sun’ in early 2014 which is full of a fine collection of original songs.
The evening will see Baby Isaac play two sets with Kevin and Jordan playing a set in between.
Both albums from the bands will be available on the night where it has been planned to record sessions for a live album in the near future.
Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are £8. There will be tables and a bar service as well as ample space to shake a tail feather.
