After the success of last year, the 2013 Haddo Arts Festival has officially been launched and will take place in October after securing sponsorship.
This year’s Festival is named ‘Senses’ and will cover all five aspects, with an exhibition and the spectacle of opera for ‘vision’, concerts, comedy and discussion for ‘listening’. a tasting evening of local produce for ‘taste’ and ‘smell’ and even the gentle hold of a couple in their new Tea Dance for ‘touch’.
The programming is similar to last year with an impressive line up including preformances from Haddo House Choral and Operatic Society, Scottish Opera, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra.
A new addition to the festival - comedy night - will star BBC radio’s Fred McCauley and Tweedy the Clown who will put on a fantastic one man show.
Haddo House Choral and Operatic Society will present the opening concert, which has a starry line up of soloists including Eleanor Dennis.
