SUDDEN snowfall had an impact on the attendance at the Scottish Accordion Music Group’s concert in Ellon last week.

But more than 40 people still turned up to enjoy an evening of music in the town’s Victoria Hall.

Sixteen accordionr group members and three singers made an appearance to provide traditional entertainment on Friday night.

A spokesman for the Victoria Hall said: “The snow conspired to keep folk away on the night but 16 group members and three singers turned up.

“We did have some very hardy accordion music enthusiasts from as far as Methlick and Aberdeen, making around 40 of an audience altogether.”

An audience member said: “The weather was disappointing but the music throughout the evening more than made up for it.

“There was a great atmosphere.”

The music group will return in September next year on a Sunday afternoon.
