A North-east record and cd fair is hoping to add another venue to its calendar after its continuing popularity.

Maidinvinyl Record and CD Fairs will be holding their third fair at Inverurie Locos Football Club on Saturday, December 14, from 10am to 4pm and organisers are hoping for another good turnout.

Organiser, Aileen Stott, said that the previous fairs have went extremely well.

Aileen told the Times: “Our last event at Peterhead FC had quite a lot of people, but our first fair at Inverurie was heaving.

“There was hardly enough room for everyone!

“I hope this will become something really popular.”

Aileen is planning to hold the fairs at more locations throughout Aberdeenshire.

She added: “We are hoping to get a third venue. Right now we are still throwing around some ideas- we did think of Fraserburgh, but thought that was quite close to Peterhead, so we had thought of Banff.

“Another Football Club would be best though, because they have everything you need- the space, the parking and the facilities.”

Collector, Aileen, came up with the idea after she found that there was nothing else like it the North-east.

The group aim to organise one event each month rotating around each venue meaning that each location would hold three fairs a year if they secure another venue.

With thousands of items covering all price ranges and genres including many very rare collectable items, there is something for everyone, so pick up something in time for Christmas at the next fair and see what all the action is about.

There will be a break in January 2014 before the next fair which will be held at the end of February or early March.
