ROD Stewart tribute act Bob Wyper turned in a vintage performance in Ellon on Friday night in a fundraiser for the town’s Bothy Daycare Centre.
The evening of entertainment in the Station Hotel raised £805 towards the dementia facility.
Rod – also known as Bob from Kilmarnock – wowed the crowd with favourite after favourite from the veteran rocker’s catalogue of hits.
Organisers were delighted with the success of the evening.
One said: “We’d like to thank everyone who attended, as well as all those who bought raffle tickets and who donated prizes for the event, including the various companies.
“It was a magnificent total to raise and the proceeds will go to Daycare Centre.
“Everyone enjoyed themselves and it was a fantastic night’s entertainment.”
Bob, too, said he was delighted to help the fundraiser.
He has appeared at previous events in Ellon and continued his North-east visit with a “gig” in Lossiemouth on Saturday night.
