The Blues Band will be taking to the stage at the Music Hall in Aberdeen on Saturday, June 29.

Featuring Paul Jones,Dave Kelly, Rob Townsend, Gary Fletcherand Tom McGuinness, The Blues Band was formed in 1979, by ex-Manfred Mann group members, Paul and Tom.

Slide guitar ace and vocalist Dave Kelly was recruited, Gary Fletcher filled the bass post. Rob Townsend of Family fame  replaced Hughie Flint in 1982 at the drums.

Their new studio album Few Short Lines, released on Repertoire Records, is collecting rave reviews everywhere.

Expect a good selection from the new album in the show.  Few Short Lines  features some very special guests including Al Kooper famed for his work with Dylan who adds keyboards to six tracks, and Springsteen’s old mate Southside Johnny playing harp on one track and singing another.

Dave performs a stunning rocking duet with Scottish soul diva Maggie Bell and Paul a raunchy duet with Linda Lewis.

Tickets are available online at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.
