This weekend: Enjoy a day out on the Deeside Pictish Trail event (leaving from Mintlaw)

The Book of Deer Project is organising a coach trip to Deeside to visit sites connected with the Pictish heritage. A coach leaves Mintlaw Academy at 9am on Saturday, May 17. Pick up points may be arranged for those who cannot travel to Mintlaw.

Once on Deeside amongst the many points of interest will be the Cross Slab overlooking Loch Kinord, The Burn o’ Vat and the Pictish Stone and then the wonderful Visitor’s Centre at Migvie. Participants will have a choice of walks from the award winning Visitor Centre at the Muir of Dinnet and be able tailor their visit to what suits them best.

Cost - £15 each with concessionary rates for those who have paid their subscriptions as Friend of the Book of Deer or the Project. Please bring a packed lunch.
