The owner of a Foveran-based coffee shop and beauty salon is delighted that her business has “grown and grown” in the four months it has been open.
The Barn opened on Saturday, January 20, and is situated in the former premises of The Store following its closure in November last year.
Business owner Christine Graham told the Times: “We’ve got up to 20 members in our team now and we only started with five.
“The feedback we have had so far has been fantastic, we have over 150 five-star reviews on Facebook.”
Business has been going so well, Christine admits she has already thought about extending the building as she explained: “We have been so busy, some days customers have had to wait to get a table so I’ve already considered an extension.
“With the warmer weather coming we will be delighted to be able to seat customers outside.
“We have also carried out improvement work to our outdoor playpark.”
She added: “We are applying for an alcohol licence as we plan to host a few evening events.
“We’ve had so many ideas over the years so now it’s great to be able to have the platform to do it.
“We are looking forward to the warmer weather, at the moment we are getting all of our outdoor equipment ready.”
The Beauty at the Barn side of the business is also doing extremely well as Christine said: “We have lots of new treatments as there is myself and two other full-time beauticians here now.
“They bring both expertise and experience to The Barn and we have an eight page menu full of treatments.
“We also run monthly special offers too.
“We get a lot of returning customers which is great, we even have one customer that walks up from Foveran who used to get her beauty treatments done in Aberdeen, she told us we are a one-stop shop.
“We also get a lot of cyclists and runners as passing trade thanks to local access tracks.
“Our various Afternoon Teas are very popular and we get a lot of baby shower bookings too.”
She added: “I’m still pinching myself, I’m living the dream.
“It’s overwhelming to see that people support what we do, and to see the customer satisfaction makes all the hard work worth it.
“I didn’t think we would be at this stage in just four months.”
