Port Erroll School and Active Schools raised over £800 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and handed over a cheque to the charity last week.
The pupils registered with the BHF’s Jump Rope for Heart programme as it recognised the important role that regular physical activity plays in maintaining and improving health.
They also hoped to educate all pupils of the importance of regular exercise and associated health benefits while also raising money for a great cause.
The ‘Jump Off’ provided an ideal opportunity for excellent heart health activity which was great fun for all involved as well as raising valuable sponsorship money for the work of the BHF.
The money raised will help to fund pioneering research into the causes and treatment of heart disease among men, women and children along with helping to fund lifesaving cardiac equipment, BHF nurses and health education.
