The Lions of Zululand are a group of musicians and dancers who aim to expose the world to traditional Zulu culture.

One of the activities the pupils took part in included learning a traditional Zulu dance.

Each group did a warm up exercise before watching the Lions of Zululand.

The pupils thoroughly enjoyed learning the steps and shouted along as they danced.

As well as dancing, the pupils learned about Zulu cultural practices and had a go at speaking a bit of King Shaka’s language.

Our video shows one group getting to grips with the Zulu dance.
