Eddie Izzard brings his Force Majeure to AECC

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) are looking forward to welcoming another great comedian to the AECC Arena in 2013.

Eddie Izzard will be performing at AECC on Friday, 3 as part of his Force Majeure Tour.

He spent a three-month residency at the Théâtre de Dix Heures in Paris performing STRIPPED: ‘Tout en Francais’ (in French!) and then become the first stand-up comedian to play a solo show at Los Angeles’ legendary Hollywood Bowl.

It was an extraordinary year from an extraordinary man.

Never one to rest on his laurels he now plans to take on the world with a brand-new comedy tour, Force Majeure, French translation meaning “superior force”, “chance occurrence, unavoidable accidentForce Majeure will be the most extensive comedy tour ever and begins its mammoth journey around the globe during spring 2013.

From Cardiff to Kathmandu, Moscow to Mumbai, Eddie will visit 25 countries throughout Europe, USA, Africa, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, India, Nepal and The Far East.

Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s managing director, said: “The return of Eddie Izzard to the AECC Arena brings another addition to a great comedy line-up coming to the Venue.

“With Kevin Bridges and John Bishop playing five shows between them in October 2012, we are looking forward to the laughs continuing through into 2013.”
