2012 proved to be another successful year for leading North-east recruitment agency Genesis Personnel.
Business continued to go from strength to strength for the company throughout the year, and one of the most notable events was the acquisition of a specialist offshore recruitment company in November.
The recruitment agency, which has offices in Aberdeen and Peterhead, successfully acquired Northbey Power Recruitment in a six-figure deal. As part of the acquisition, Northbey’s two members of staff, Claire Dingwall and Michelle Reilly, joined the Genesis team.
Genesis Personnel was launched in 1975 and provides onshore and offshore recruitment solutions to clients across the world in a range of sectors including marine, industrial, commercial, driving, legal and oil & gas.
The firm has an international client base providing permanent, temporary and contract-based personnel.
The past year also saw a number of key members of staff at the company taking on senior roles to help strengthen the services of the agency.
Wendy Marr joined the firm as a trainee recruiter seven years ago following a 10-year career in the seafood industry in Peterhead, and quickly moved up through the ranks to assistant manager.
In 2012 she was appointed as Managing Director and will lead the business through its continued growth and expansion.
Moira Murawiecka joined Genesis Personnel in May 2011 as a Sales and Marketing Executive and has since been promoted to Sales and Recruitment Manager.
Brenda Aydost joined the company in 2008 as Payroll Administrator and after taking on a number of different responsibilities she has recently been appointed as the Office Manager.
Sales and recruitment manager Moira Murawiecka said: “We have a very high customer satisfaction level and have developed strong client relationships which enable us to make recruitment for them a lot easier and much less stressful.
“Our excellent reputation in the local market is a great asset and gives us fantastic resources in finding new candidates for our ever-increasing number of vacancies.
“2013 has been very busy so far and we look forward to a very prosperous year ahead in finding the right people for the right jobs.”
