THE next Monymusk Arts Trust Summer Exhibition, which will run from Saturday, July 7, to Friday, July 20, will feature the work of Margie Trewin.
Margie said, “I have always had a keen interest in art and craft, which began with college projects in fabric design and printing, and evening classes in pottery and stained glass in my spare time. Now in retirement I have taken up painting with watercolour as my preferred medium.
“I regularly spend time on holidays in the Highlands and Islands, and in the local Aberdeenshire countryside. I am often sketching in situ and taking reference photographs. I like to paint with feeling as if I was still there. While painting I am ‘lost’ in memories of a particular scene, or watch wildlife.
There will also be a wide variety of locally produced crafts for sale. The exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 4pm, except on Mondays.
