New partnership for hotter jazz nights

Some partnerships are made in heaven and others are born out of the restless, inventive, innovative, charismatic sound that is jazz.... and just such a collaboration has been struck by Aberdeen’s Lemon Tree and the Blue Lamp on the town’s Gallowgate.

Both venues have hosted some of the hottest jazz nights in the city, and have now come together to produce a joint Thursday night season with regular Jazz at The Blue Lamp nights occasionally interspersed with Jazz at The Lemon Tree nights.

In October, the four jazz nights will all be at The Blue Lamp, with performances from: the Mario Caribe Quartet (October 4), Gordon McNeil’s 7th Avenue Project (October 11), Organ Spot (October 18) and the Paul Booth Quartet (October 25).

In November, the season will continue with a performance from the Breach Trio at The Blue Lamp (November 1).
