A GROUP of individuals who meet at Monday Motivation have been inspired to put together an amateur production of The Vagina Monologues with all proceeds from ticket sales being donated to Drugs Action & Grampian Woman’s Aid.
The Vagina Monologues play consists only of monologues read by a varying number of women. The recurring theme is the vagina as a tool of female empowerment, and the ultimate embodiment of individuality.
The performaces will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 1, 2 and 3, at Gallery i, Inverurie. Doors open at 7 for a 7.30pm start. Refreshments will be available. Tickets are priced at £10 and are available by contacting Abstract Coaching on (01467) 671493 or e-mail email@example.com.
Monday Motivation is a group where you can come to be inspired, motivated and understand more about yourself as an individual, a partner, a colleague and a friend. Hosted by Abstract Coaching, founded in 2010 by Life Coach Theresa Day, the group has evolved over time and offers a welcoming environment to anyone who wants to join in.
Drugs Action & Grampian Woman’s Aid provides a range of services to help reduce harms associated with drug and alcohol problems and promote individual recovery. In light of barriers to accessing support woman experience, they provide a dedicated service for women involved in prostitution including night-time drop centre and counselling to address trauma and underlying issues. They also have a prevention project reaching out to young girls who are at risk of getting sexually exploited, and work in partnership with Grampian Woman’s aid.
