Student’s Rotary talk

Ellon Rotary Club had a special guest for their meeting last week.

Short term exchange student Leslie Andrews, from Casper in Wyoming, gave a talk on her homeland.

Leslie, 18, is staying in the town with Abbey Poole and her family. When Leslie returns home Abbey, 18, will accompany her on a similar exchange.

The American visitor explained that Casper is the second-largest city in Wyoming with a population of just over 55,000.

It was started as a military outpost on the North Platte River on the Oregon Trail and the Pony Express Route West.

Leslie told her audience that she was thoroughly enjoying her visit to Scotland.
