President Mrs Jennifer Leys welcomed members to the August meeting of Barthol Chapel SWI.
Mrs Irene Ross read the minutes and Mrs Alice Sinclair gave the Federation report.
After business was dealt with, Jennifer handed over to Alison Emslie, who brought along some of her bead and glass work.
All her work is really beautiful and menbers were able to try the bead work.
Alison then judged the competitions and results were as follows:
Fresh Fruit Salad - 1 Mrs Winnie Moir; 2 Mrs Harriet Duncan; 3 Mrs Elsie Robb. Flower Arrangement in Tea Cup - 1 Mrs Irene Ross; 2 Mrs Winifred Robertson; 3 Mrs Kerry Keys.
After a welcome cup of tea served by Winnie Moir and her hostesses, the raffle was drawn and Mrs Jessie Simpson gave the vote of thanks.
At the August meeting of Premnay SWI, the planned speaker was unable to attend, so secretary Dale Youngs, who is a nurse, stepped in to show us resuscitation techniques.
She told us of the very important Sandpiper Trust organisation who raise money towards defibrillators.
After a lovely tea and the vote of thanks, the competitions were judged as follows:
