Ellon-based chemical solutions firm, Aubin, has recently donated a large amount of their office furniture to the new Carers Centre in Ellon.
The new centre is run by Aberdeen-based VSA and was opened last month to provide volunteer carers in Ellon with specialist support and advice.
Aubin is currently undergoing refurbishment work to its premises in Ellon’s CastlePark Industrial Estate following an increase in staff numbers, product development and increased sales.
As a result they decided to give something back to the community by donating furniture including desks, chairs and bookcases to the new Carers Centre which is located on the town’s Station Road.
Chief operating officer at Aubin, John Payne, said: “We operate in Ellon, most of our staff are from within the community of Ellon, so it is a pleasure for us to support such a fantastic organisation in this way.
“At Aubin we want to keep on supporting those making our community a strong and caring place to live and work in.”
Speaking about the new centre, VSA service manager Gail McKeitch, said: “We just opened the Carers Centre in Ellon last month.
“It is very much about encouraging and helping social engagement.”
“Gail added: “I am delighted with this donation to our charity and can’t thank Aubin staff enough for their generosity.
“It is fabulous to have all these bits and pieces that are all matching.”
There will be an official opening ceremony for the Carers Centre next month.
