The village’s 40th gala will feature a host of activities spread over the week culminating in the big day on Sunday, May 24.
Organisers are promising a feast of family entertainment and an event as successful as last year’s.
The programme kicks off on Tuesday, May 19, with a family quiz night in the village hall at 6.30pm. Entry is £2 and £1.
The following night will feature a junior disco for primary school ages from 6.30-8pm. Entry is £3 including refreshments.
Gala princesses will be chosen. Parents and guardians are asked to sign in children at the door.
A Ladies Night will take the spotlight on Friday, May 22, featuring beauty and bubbles with Nirvana Spa. Entry is £5 and bring your own drink.
The gala showpiece is on Sunday, May 24, with the day’s programme getting under way at 11am with six-a-side football for local school teams.
A netball tournament is on at the same time, while all day in the school hall will offer a 40th anniversary display with teas, coffees and cakes made by Auchnagatt SWI.
The opening ceremony will take place at noon featuring the gala princesses and two of the original members of the gala committee when it started.
At 12.30 there will be a pet parade, bouncing boogies at 1pm, Ythan Fiddlers will perform at 1.30 and 2.30 and the Rosaline Hendry School of Highland Dancing will give a demonstration at 2pm.
Arnage and Auchnagatt primary schools will battle it out in the tug o’ war at 3pm and kids races and chuck the wellie for adults will also take place.
There will be all-day attractions, craft tent and side stalls.
